The basis of our caring ministry must begin with scripture. “A new commandment I give unto you that you love one another as I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13: 34-35)

Who needs care?
Everyone: Because God would have every one of His children loved, prayed for, cared for, by another of His children.
People volunteer to be a carer for a wide range of reasons including:

  • Wanting to be needed
  • Wanting to help make a difference in other peoples lives
  • Wanting to learn or use skills
  • Wanting to belong to a caring community and feel accepted
  • Wanting to be valued and affirmed
  • Wanting to grow in their faith and share their God given gifts
  • Wanting to keep from being lonely
